Photographer's Note
The sculpture of woman taken during tour of the Musιe du Louvre.
The collection's overview of French sculpture contains Romanesque works such as the 11th century Daniel in the Lions' Den and the 12th century Virgin of Auvergne. In the 16th century, Renaissance influence caused French sculpture to become more restrained, as seen in Jean Goujon's bas-reliefs, and Germain Pilon's Descent from the Cross and Resurrection of Christ. The 17th and 18th centuries are represented by Ιtienne Maurice Falconet's Woman Bathing and Amour menaηant and Franηois Anguier's obelisks. Neoclassical works includes Antonio Canova's Psyche Revived by Cupid's Kiss (1787).

Hi Malgorzata, Good depth of field which means the background does not detract from the subject. A beautiful marble statue, well captured and cropped. The marble looks exactly as it does when there looking at it. TFS. Murray

Very good management of the light and focus on this sculpture compared to the background to give pleasure to the image, I like much. To the occasion of a new stay on the Paris region, makes a detour by Versailles because in the park of the castle we have many statues which are interesting to photograph !!! Hello Malgorzata,
Usually I find pictures of rock sculptures (even if its marble) kind of boring.
I picked this one because it is different. Your absolutelly perfect exposure and the fine art of the sculpturer make this statue look so alive that its hard to believe its cold and dead.
Together with your frame a masterpiece that the management of Louvre should consider to use otheir website at least.
