A scow, gabarre or gabare in french, is a vessel of inland or maritime, flat bottom and shallow draft, and often with a veil. The barges were used on many rivers on the Atlantic coast, as on the Svre niortaise river, thr Charente river, the Garonne and Dordogne rivers, and the LOIRE river. They were used to transport goods, down and up the waterways.

_ The LOIRE river, the last wild river and longest of France, takes its source at 1048 meters of altitude in the Massif-Central on mount "Mont Gerbier de Jonc", in the Sainte-Eulalie commune in Ardche departement, and after a course of 1 012.7 kilometers through a catchment area of 117,000 km, 1/5 of the French territory, is thrown by a broad estuary in the Atlantic Ocean in the Loire-Atlantique departement, in Saint-Nazaire, where the flow can go down to 100 m/s and can very largely exceed 5000 m/s. the Loire Valley from Sully-sur-Loire in Loiret departement to Saint-Florent-le-Vieil in Maine-et-Loire, is registered since the year 2000 with the World heritage of UNESCO, for its biological diversity and its historical and cultural richness. The Jacques Gabriel bridge du 18th century, built from 1716 to 1724, by Ange-Jacques Gabriel, 1698-1782, is the last humpbacked bridge on the LOIRE river. Its eleven arches give its length to 283 m.

Blois is a French commune, located in the departement of Loir-et-Cher in the Centre region, populated by 50 704 Blois in 2007, spread across 37.5 km, or 1353.6 inhabitants per km.

Located on the banks of the Loire, the chteau de Blois, 10th 15th 16th 17th sicles, is one of the Chateaux of the Loire . It is classified as historical monument.
