Saint-Rome de Berliθres church, Fondamente

Saint-Rome de Berliθres hamlet.

The romanesque Saint-Rome de Berliθres chapel, in the Fondamente commune.

Until the 18th century, 1793, it was the Saint-Rome de Berliθres parish church, Montpaon commune chapel, and now Fondamente commune chapel since 1987.

FONDAMENTE is a french commune, located in the department of Aveyron of the Midi-Pyrιnιes area, populated of 287 Fondamentois in 2004, distributed out of 51 km², that is to say 6 hab./km².

In the commune of Fondamente, exist two villages: Montpaon and Saint-Maurice-de-Sorgues.

The Commune of Fondamente formerly named Montpaon, was renamed in 1987.

The lands of Montpaon are mentioned at the 11th century, baronnie lords, under the protection of bishop of Rodez, and whose castle was ruined at the 17th century on order of Richelieu.

ORB river and SORGUES river are the principal waterways which cross the commune of Fondamente.

_ The ORB, coastal river, takes its source at 828 meters of altitude, close to the site Font d'Orb, in limit of the communes of Cornus in Aveyron departement, and Romiguiθres in Hιrault departement, in dolomitic limestones of "Causse du Larzac". It runs in the departement of Aveyron, then in the department of Hιrault, and flows in the Mediterranean sea at Valras-Plage, after a course of 136 km, and the crossing of a catchment area of 1580 km². Its flow can pass from a minimal flow of 1.4 m³/s to a maximum flow of 1630 m³/s. Orb river description.

Hello Joλl,
A fine image depicting this lovely and unusual church, that has more of the allure of a castle. The tall trees provide a splendid counterbalance to the tower. I like the framing offered by the wall that progresses on a slight diagonal across the frame. The picture benefits from good light, colours and sharpness.

Une autre ravissante chapelle romane magnifiquement prιsentιe avec les deux cyprθs qui la dιcorent et une belle perspective largement ouvrete sur le paysage vallonι. Le mur oblique strucure trθs bien la composition.

Le mur de pierre et les arbres cadrent bien l'ιglise. la prise de vue permet de distinguer les dιtails et les couleurs de l'architecture de l'ιglise Saint-Rome de Berliθres. La bonne luminositι met en valeur les couleurs de l'image. Bon weekend.
