Almost an aerial view of the entrance to the Bassin d'Arcachon ... it's taken from the top of the Cap Ferret Lighthouse. A splendid panorama with the famous high sand dune of Pilat in the background.

Bonjour Jean,
Belle composition dans diffιrents plans horizontaux.
L'ιtroite bande de terre au milieu de l'eau est trθs attrayante. Plus impressionnante encore est la Dune du Pilat. La vue de cette dune sur le front de mer me rappelle un peu les rives du Nil dans le sud de l'Egypte.

Fantastic high panorama fro the top of the lighttower.
Green trees and the blue water of the inlet, and the dunes on the far side wonderfully in contrast and clarity.

Hello Jean,
A very nice view across the water with the impressive dune at the far end and the narrow spit closer to us. There could be some nice beaches and trees to provide shade on very hot days. The fine colours and light also make this an attractive photo.

Bonjour Jean,
I am glad you decided to show the closer view of this fragment of the scene.
The other version which included the fragment of the lighthouse in the foreground has its own beauty but here we can closer appreciate details of the panorama and especially the huge sand dune on the horizon.

Hello Jean,
A nice view across the calm blue water with lots of different kinds of boat. The trees in the foreground, the small strip of land in the middle and the dunes in the distance look wonderful too and add a good contrast.
