*********************************************

From the top of Tκte de Rame, a.k.a. Tκte des Chιtives. The view from up there, at 2644m, which is an altitude reasonable enough to receive a host of sheep from the coomb 1000m beneath, is fantastic enough to encompass the mountains ranging from the Dιvoluy to the Taillefer, along the flat crest of Vercors. Those ranges are all running south of Grenoble, Dιvoluy being mostly in the Hautes-Alpes department. The incredible mesa-like pillar in the middle of the far hazy distance is the Obiou, the wild treasure of Dιvoluy, culminating at 2789m, which is huge as compared to the vicinity.

Tκte de Rame can be reached either from Valsenestre, near Valbonnais, which is the part joining Malsanne valley to the depression where La Mure sleeps, or from Confolens, a small village known for its waterfall, which is reached from Le Perier, a hardly less small village in Malsanne Valley. Denivelation is about the same I reckon, the Confolens path being longer.

It is the highest summit of a crest that runs from Labarre lake and the Romιiou pass above (2439m), to the Arcanier (about 2500m) above the Gary lake.
The average walk to those marvels is 5h. But patience is well-awarded, and if you have patience, it will overcome difficulties that here arise only from eagerness.

Have a nice harvest for that new year, of dreams and of dream-likenesses! :)
