Lyon is a beautiful city which Vieux Lyon (the old town) is designated as a World Heritage Site. This piture is taken from the Croix Rousse district which was considered as a proletarian part of the overall burgeois city. nowdays it is innondated with students and famous for nightlife. the pleasant panorama of the city with orange roofs to my mind is abbruptly disrupted by the that huge 'American' tower

Nice photo - focus is very sharp, colours are subdued but realistic. Before I read your comment I'd already marked in my mind the contrast between the old roofs and the new city in the background - old France of neighbourhoods disappearing under the march of prgress. I've visited Lyons a few times but always on business, never had time to get up to the old city unfortunately...

Very nice view on the misty city, it gives a moody atmosphere, I just like it very much!
PS: I was born in South East of France, my parents still live 50 km south of Lyon, and I studied in Lyon in the seventies... For me the most beautiful city of France, and I was a regular visitor of "Le Parc de la Tκte d'Or", a great plants, flowers & animals park.
