While walking in village, of Peyre.

One sight.
Other sight.

Classified among the most beautiful villages of France, the village of PEYRE, is located on the commune of Comprgnac, to 8 km of Millau and in sight to 3 km of the famous viaduct of Millau, very visible.
The department of Aveyron counts 10 more beautiful villages of France.

Against an edge of causse, it is a partially cave-dwelling village which one traverses the calades, (streets paved in staircase), to discover its old houses in tuff, and Saint-Cristophe of Peyre, its cave-dwelling church of the 11th century leant with cliff.
One discovers also his new church Saint-Christophe of the 19th century.

Comprgnac is a french commune, located in the department of Aveyron of the Midi-Pyrenees area, populated of 215 Comprgnacois in 1999, distributed out of 11 km, that is to say 19 hab./km.

Located in a meander of the Tarn and on its Right Bank, the commune of Comprgnac gathers the village of Comprgnac and the village of Peyre, and two hamlets, Throndels and Douzes, (resurgences), and belongs to the Parc naturel rgional des Grands Causses, Regional natural park of Large Causses.
The commune is located at the beginning of the raspes which are long formed canyons by schistous black rocks, which downstream of Millau go to the village of Broquis.
One meets on the territory of the commune, many huts of stone cig shepherds, called here caselles.
