La Croze hamlet, Saint-Georges-de-Lévéjac

One sight.
Other sight.

In the "Gorges du Tarn", tran river canyon, located near the sites of "Les Détroits" and "Point Sublime", at the bottom of cliffs of the causse Méjean, the hamlet was probably created at the 17th century.
Its position on left bank of the Tarn makes it available only by boat or by the hiking trails.
After one period of abandonment, its old farms of typical architecture of causses, arched and covered with roofing stones, were restored as from 1931.

Saint-Georges-de-Lévéjac is a french commune, located in the department of Lozère of the Languedoc-Roussillon area, populated of 243 Saint-Georgiens in 1999, distributed out of 56 km², that is to say 4 hab./km².

The commune extends from causse of Sauveterre to the "Gorges du Tarn", and its habitat is disseminated in about twenty hamlets.
