292 hectares of salines protected from the sea by a 1.5 km length dam.
the sea water circulates in successive bassins which calls saline tables until evaporation in order to obtain a harvest of 30.000 tons according to the years.
We also discovers the flora related to this so particular environment, like the salicorne halophilous plant with the multiple adaptations with salt.

On the right far we can see the grain silo of Port-la-Nouvelle.
