Salut Eric,
a+ & bon voyage

It's certainly a distinctive look, and although this kind of look isn't usually my cup of tea, I do think it has added something to the atmosphere here.
The long shadows running horizonatlly across the frame are a strong element of the composition, and I think if you had walked a few paces forward so that they ran across the bottom of the frame, the image would have worked better. The bright area of paving disturbs a little and I think cropping nearer to the shadows would improve this.
Another thing that bothers me a bit is the tilt to the right. It looks like you took care to keep the verticals of the building on the left of the frame straight, but distortion at the edges is a natural result of using wide focal lengths, and I think keeping the verticals in the centre of the frame straight is more important here. No matter, a slight rotation would improve things.
Interesting work Eric.
Cheers,
Ben

Often when I hear or read of the Tuileries I think of you and your grandmother who took you there... a beautiful childhood, and am glad you keep posting images from home. Very interesting again, your colours are unique and the perspective with the little people and lines of trees great. I wonder how it'd look like in sepia, for the composition itself has an old-time feel to it.
