Photographer's Note

Here is a picture taken yesterday in Paris.
After a trip in USA, I have promised to my son to get him in a captive balloon who is located in a park in Paris.

The Eutelsat balloon is the first large tethered balloon of modern times in Paris. It acts of a balloon with gas filled with 5500 cubic meters of helium (completely inert gas) connected on the ground by a cable animated by a hydroelectric winch.

Single installation in its kind, the Eutelsat balloon takes along to 30 adults or 60 children (subject to the weather conditions) without any noise nor jolt, with 150 meters height to admire a splendid site in full safety. It is 32 meters high, the equivalent of a building of 12 flats and a diameter of 22 meters.

This panorama is a stitch of 12 pictures taken with the [email protected]
It shows the central part of Paris looking in the nothern direction.
Please click on the large version as it shows many more details.

Regards.
