Photographer's Note
Here's another picture from our visit to the Fondation Pinault in the old Bourse in Paris.
---
THE BOURSE DE COMMERCE is an 18th century historical building in the heart of Paris. It was used for trading and moneymaking until the end of last century.
THE FONDATION PINAULT now houses here. Just like the Fondation Vuiton, this is a private art enterprise. The Pinault collection focusses on living and contemporary art. It has just opened and currently stages its first show. Needless to say it is a bit of an arty hot spot in Paris these days. To be honest, the building impressed us more than most of the art on show.
---
THIS PICTURE shows the grand dome of the Bourse with a part of the beautifully restored mural below. A line of subtle lighting underneath the ledge of the first floor roundway is the eyelid.

WS includes a bl/w version of this shot.

Hi Benny,
That arch above the round roof window really makes the impression of an eye much stronger. Impressive place. No doubt that painting is wonderful too, though on this one we only see small part of it.

Hi Benny,i'm not a black and white lover, so i agree for the choice of main pic. A perspective that reminds a lot my last post, not a church but the old stock exchange, but a watch to the top is always welcome, especially when made in the best sharpness and exposure like your, very well done! Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hi Benny
In my many visits to Paris I've never been inside this building, just seen it from outside. A good photo looking up into the dome without anything being blown out.
cheers

Hi Benny
Wow, this really looks like an eye, partly covered with a heavy eyelid. It's even more apparent in the b&w version but I prefer the colour one because of the wonderful frescos included at the bottom.
Best wishes
Kasia

Hello Benny, a perfect title; the ledge becoming an excellent eyelid.
I do not know this building, so I will have to look it up the next time we are in Paris.
You managed the light really well.
Good to see some of the painted frieze below it.
I prefer the colour version.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hi Benny
Superb indoor architectural capture of the ceiling dome with excellent imaging qualities. I like the off-set view point, more interesting that going for straight forward symmetry.
Colours and sharpness are great heightening the pure Majesty. Marvellous stuff!

Hi Benny
A good upwards pov on the circular dome resembling an iris. Good sharpness and some impressive frescoes around the walls. Tfs!
