Photographer's Note

The territory of Mondreville is occupied since the Prehistory. The city receives the license to strengthen in 1545 where from his circular plan.

* Church Saint-Etienne - 12th and 13th century.

By crossing the region I discovered a multitude of small Romanic churches which in spite of some reorganizations preserved intact western facades with an elaborated enough and original architectural decoration. Contrary to the rest of the building which remains relatively skinned, these facades testify of more search and present all, common characters where the ornamental accent is concerned the entrance of the church, what allows to highlight the access to the sacred place.
