Photographer's Note
These were few ingredients that Claude Monet may have been using in the Workshop located in the Cafι Baudy.
This place is located in Giverny, roughly between Paris and Rouen along the right bank of the Seine river.
Monet discovered that small village in 1883 and settled quite soon in a farmhouse and its garden. He transformed it quite completely : today one can see a rich japanese drawing collection and an amazing garden full of flowers and with the great ponds he had being built.
From that village, he found a lot of inspiration from both the countryside and his own garden.
By that time, a large group of American painters also joined the village in the 1890's. Most of them spent their time in that Cafι Baudy and in this workshop located right in the middle of a large nice garden.

Well equilibrated in colours, well ballanced in composition with the two diagonals and different geomatrical forms, with the soft colours of the suggerated past - very well seen, Steven.

Nice soft colors and nice repetitions. A fine little frozen moment on someones workbench. I like the POV you choosed, it gives a line of things arranged a bit more dense along the diagonal which gives the eyes a line to follow.

Interesting colorful composition. Indeed looks like a messy painter’s desk.
All the items on the desk are interesting, and the piece of floor adds DOF, so it’s good you included it with the slight diagonal trend.
