Photographer's Note
This is a fragment of the room belonging and dedicated to Louise of Lorraine. It reflects the grief of the wife of Henry III, who became widow at the age of 36. As her husband was assassinated, she fell into a state of depression and spent the remainder of her days in mourning clothes amidst somber tapestries at the Chenonceau palace. The traditional mourning colour of French queens was white, and she was thereby called "The White Queen".
This room differs a lot from the rest of the castle. It is dark and depressing. I imagine Louise praying on this kneeler for the soul of her beloved husband.

Hi Karolina,
This is a beautiful photo, the light you captured here is very unique and captures well the soul of the note you have written. I could easily picture the white queen in this place, forlorn and lost in the world. Your note helps set a fantastic mood. Amazing that you captured the tiny grains of dust in the light. Brilliant.

Hello Karolina
I like the extreme contrast in this photograph, though I suppose it's a shame that the top of the kneeler and the tiles behind it are burnt out. The sombre tones of the rest of the frame certainly convey the sense of gloom and grief that you describe in your note.

Hi Karolina,
I like the oblique rays of sunshine picking out the flaoting dust particles in the air. Good sharpness and sidelighting from the right with long shadows. A nice warm cold color contrast too between the blue grey area at right and the reddish orange tones at left. Tfs!
