Hi Kari. I like this a lot - the light is so lovely on the trees, which are a superb colour. The ski track is great, being a bit curvy it adds interest and depth to the composition and leads the eye into the shot very nicely. I think you've achieved excellent balance between the different layers. Nice work!

Good use of the last warm light it the angle it fell on the opposite shore was a lucky thing for you. The skitracks makes a fine lead in even though a bit too centered and vertical. I like how they twist around the less godd areas on the ice - that brings a bit of tension. In the foreground you could crop away the branches and the phoneline.

Hello Kari,
The ski tracks together with the light and trees in the back make for a really nice winter scene. I particularly like the quality of the light: bluish over the lake and golden yet still frozen over the trees.

Kari, this is so beautiful, really.
The colours and the tonea are so charming,so soft and sweet.
Specially the tones of the trees are amazig, I see gold among these trees.

Hi Kari. I really like the emptyness in this photograph. There's a certain starkness about this scenery which is quite haunting.
Well done with your postprocessing here, as you've been able to hold enough detail in all parts of the image. I would personally clone out those little bits of vegetation (or whatever they are) at the bottom.

The trees are superbs. I like the overall composition as well. In Canada where I live, there are fatalities each year of people drowning with their snowmobile when riding on thin ice.

Well, Kari, that's really amazing. The light and freeze make wonders here. However I think I would have cropped a bit the bottom of the pic, as details of the close foreground are not necessary.

Hello, Kari. Absolutely perfect...."if the only way is wrong way"...ok, subtilized a bit and enough :)
Light on trees is very special..,precious winter shot...must be great to sky there! Very gentle, natural and sharp photo. Probably i would crop a bit more on the bottom (not more then 3 cm)
But still wonderful winter fairy tale
