Photographer's Note
Porvoo Porvoois one of the six medieval towns in Finland, first mentioned as a city in texts from 14th century. Porvoo is the seat of the Swedish speaking Diocese of Borgε of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland. Is located in the eastern Uusimaa-region on the coast of the Gulf of Finland, ca 50 km east of Helsinki. Porvoo is Finland's second oldest town, a beautiful city full of history. The timeless and unique atmosphere in Old Porvoo attracts travellers from all over the world. Today's Porvoo is a vivid, a bilingual city .
Porvoo’s charm is said to have inspired artists for centuries. One of the most important of them was the artist Albert Edelfelt. Among his contemporaries were the sculptors Ville Vallgren and Walter Runeberg. Still today, Porvoo is home to many influential people in the world of culture. Culture in Porvoo today is also music, theatre, handicrafts in many forms and cultural events. The city has several galleries and media art is also finding forms of expression. There are new premises for amateur theatre on Vδnrikinkatu Street, and especially in summer, performers go out into the streets, the courtyards and the river banks. Hello Grzegorz,
I like this well composed and colourful picture. The red boathouses are nicely placed on a diagonal and the nearest boat is anchored on an opposing diagonal.The black roofs look nice on the red buildings and the red contrasts very well with the green background.

Hello Greg - What a charming place to while away a few hours. The wooden houses with their rich red colours are nicely framed by the contrasting green trees and subtly coloured water. The small boat in the FG is well placed on the diagonal; all in all an attractive and well managed shot. best regards Rosemary

Une trθs jolie prise de vue de ce qui semble κtre un merveilleux coin de pκche. Les petite abris de bois sont magnifiques de mκme que le plan d'eau et les bateaux. Le tout est bien mis en valeur par le bel ιclairage et l'excellente qualitι d'image. Les couleurs sont splendides.

Wooden huts are often excellent subjects for the photographer . You've captured these ones very well , from an excellent high POV , creating a superb perspective . The pretty boat in trhe fg is a interesting element, , too , completing perfectly the composition .
