Photographer's Note
Pikkupalatsi (Little Palace) was built in 1898 as a residence of the estate manager of the Finlayson factory. This renaissance revival style building was designed by architect Fredrik Thesleff. Today Pikkupalatsi is a venue for various events and parties.

Beautiful light in this splendid winter view.
Very interesting architecture. The soft tones of the palace make it stand out against the snow in the foreground and the blue winter sky.
Good inclusion of the branch in the upper right corner.

This is a fine building with lots of attractive details, among which my favourites are the arches at mid level. The mild light helped you to a very good exposure. The last few days most snow has disappeared in Stockholm, but I see on the weather charts that Tampere is still below 0 °C, so maybe this view is still the same.

It seems that Helsinki is not the only show in town. Tampere also offers some very attractive architecture. Perfect lighting and sharpness with nice warm cold colour contrasts. Tfs!

Hello Kari, It is a very nice building, it looks like a renaissance palace. I like the arches and nice decorations under the roof. We had a lot of snow, but suddenly the warmer days came and the snow melted. Charming winter picture taken on a sunny day.

I was interested to learn of the history of this building, it has such delightful architecture. The colours are so warm, the number of columns are restrained, without making the building appear grandiose and the decorative panels give it a classy appearance.
The light looks perfect for photography, bright and clear. It's a very well exposed photograph.

this is such a beautiful palace. The light is subtly touching the upper part of the facade. Enough to emphasize the elaborate decorations at the top.
Great capture with the addition of the tree branches and the context of the snow.
