Photographer's Note
For a long time there has been plans for building a new ice-hockey arena to Tampere, because the one we have was built in 1965. It was not an easy task to find the location for the venue. Finally a less obvious solution was found. Some quite central space was gained by building a deck on top of the railway tracks. In addition to the arena, there will be a hotel and a casino. And obviously very expensive apartments.

Hello Kari,
Building an ice-hockey arena above the railway sounds like an original concept. With today's building techniques it seems anything is possible. This is an interesting but still slightly chaotic view. I like the warm light in the distance, the interesting building to the right and the cranes, always graphically attractive. If TE survives for another 3-5 years you would have to come back to the same spot to show us how it all turned out.

The sky scraper comes nice above the city, also a small forest of crane make your picture very busy

Hi Kari,a solution in the center of city isn't the best because the traffic,but maybe Tampere isn't chaotic like Milano...ehehe...ice hockey is a very popular sport in your country,so it's time for a new arena,and to rebuilt the area with hotel and apartments too,great capture very sharp and bright. I think i've mentioned it before...we don't see enough Crane photos on TE. They appeal to me, and I think to many others.
and being Canadian i'm 100% in favor of any city building a hockey rink :) fun shot, I like it. Keep them coming.

Modern buildings, tall and architecture's styled ambitions, give new look to the city, Kari.
Yet, we get fairly good view far beyond as the golden side light prevailed over the landscape.
The cranes looks as an imaginary orchestra above town.

A very nice downtown shot with modern character growing in front of your eyes. Yes, a new hokey ring is a must in places where the sport is on top of popularity, if only the current turmoil pandemic will allow any public activity to play along. I like the colour and light in your showing, well done.
