Photographer's Note

Operaen by night

And this is the final picture in my series of the new Opera House in Copenhagen: Operaen by night.
There won't be, as some of you thought, a picture from inside the building, I haven't been inside, but there are guided tours, so maybe I'll post some pictures from the inside later.
This photo was taken last Tuesday from the other side of the water, near the Royal Palace Amalienborg. I used the quay wall as a tripod.

Operaen has been built between June 2001 and October 2004 and opened in January 2005. The building is located on the island of Holmen, north of Christianshavn and opposite to the Royal Palace Amalienborg and Marmorkirken (Marble Church). The architect behind this project is Henning Larsen.
Operaen is a donation to the Danish state by A.P. Mller and Chastine McKinney-Mller Foundation. Mller was the co-founder of the company Maersk.

Thank you for all your critiques on the series, I hope you enjoyed it!
This will be my last post in a couple of days, tomorrow I'm going to Gothenburg, Sweden, to visit some friends. I'll be back somewhere next week.
