Photographer's Note
Last year did hojper post a photo of geese heading north - the weeks after started I a hunt to get some his birds, but for some reasons did I never post any photos.
The photo of this scarecrow, reminded me off a similar sight around here. But this "poor" field had no "crows" and hence the crop was nearly destroyed last year.
I noticed the geese back again - in fact they never leaved (leaft?) the country. I posted on TrekLens this photo of some kids as well.
Finally this alternative post was taken a few seconds before - I was trying to get closer.
Note update - 24-04-2006:
I just read the very sad news - Fernando passed away 21-4-2006. I noticed this photo among his favourites and I like to dedicate it in his memorial.
My condolence to the family and his friends.

When I wrote this there was not an explanation from you, only a shor "Note later" which I expect to read because I have now many open questions. First one: do you have wings and can fly, Jeppe? How did you get this beatiful view of the rear of these birds?
I like the hexagonal formation of the bird's squad and that the wings are in different positions. It is a lesson of the technique to fly. Aha, I see, you learned so.
Beatiful green background without sky.

Hi Jeppe,
What a nice picture. When I saw it in the gallery, I thought it was a close-up, but it's not!
Nice composition in green. I like the movement of the geese in the foreground. The right top seems a bit unsharp, but that's not disturbing. The alternative is also good, but this one is more dynamic.
Great shot!

This picture goes through the stack of usual pictures. We feel like a member of the flight as the birds are so close. The homogeneous green background is also adding to the originality of the picture, as if the sky had been replaced by grass.

It's so good! I wish I could take such a dynamic shot. You must have used very short exposure time - the geese look as if they are still, almost. The colour of the green background is very pleasing. By the way: Lumix cameras prodce beautiful images - I just had an occasion to play with FZ20 which my sister in law bought for herself.

I really like the way you caught so many different positions of their wings. And I think you should be glad they were leaving you. If they had been heading your way looking like this, it would have been like the Hitchcock film and maybe the photographer wouldn't be here to tell the story. And be glad they never left, that means you have theideal in-between climate.
