Photographer's Note

Update on the 25th of January. I posted it again today, because I increased my postprocess skills, and now I know how to rotate photo's.

This is the Himmelbjerg (Heaven Mountain), one of the highest points of Denmark.

Although is has the name "mountain", it is not higher than 147 metres above sea level, but it used to be regarded as the highest point in Denmark because of its fantastic view.

Himmelbjerg has been a meeting-place since the Danish writer Steen Steensen Blicher called a meeting of the people in 1839. There are several memorials placed around Himmelbjerg.

The Himmelbjerg became very important in the 19th century, cause at that time, Denmark had just lost Norway. (The tower is also from that period, here you are even higher, but the view wasn't any better, I thought.)
But with this this mountain, the Danes could show they also have a beautiful country.

The sourroundings of Himmelbjerg are very beautiful. And I have another picture of the Julsψ-lake on this side.

I took this picture when I was sailing from Ry to Himmelbjerg on the Julsψ-lake, but I took it with my brother in laws camera (on automatic, without flash). A photo taken on the same day of the Julsψ-lake can be found here. (Maybe not a superb picture, but it was the first time a touched a digital camera.)
