Photographer's Note
I had real luck with the weather in Prague, long, sunny days, beautiful clear light, rich contrasts and long shadows.
I liked wandering behind the old town's streets, away from the crowds, between light and shade, following the sharp lines of pastel-coloured houses and buildings.

Hi Cristina
Nice black and white urban scene and I really like the contrast in this. Great timing of the click to have the man placed on the point of the shadow
Cheers

Ciao Cristina,
Your black and white photos have an atmosphere of the old English film Ilford — sharp, high contrast, and possessing surpassing depth-of-field. Well done.
Warm regards,

Ciao Cristina. Nice to see your work once more. Even in thumbnail format the image demands attention thanks to the dramatic contrasts between the building in full sun and those in the shade. Excellent DOF and timing as the man is about to light the cigarette. Best wishes. Klaudio.

Hello Cristina,
I might miss the pastel colours, but for this play of shades and light maybe B&W is better anyway. The man means more to the composition than the pastel walls. He is well placed against a light background, his feet just touching the dark corner of the large shade. There are lots of fine contrasts all over, actually.
Kind regards,
Gert

Dear Christina,
You were really lucky, but you also managed to place the man just in the right place, to the edge of the shadow.
Excellent work!
Best Wishs,
Gy.

Hello Cristina.
A very successful b/w street scene, which, if not for the cars, could have been taken a long time ago. I like the strong contrast and sense of depth achieved by your viewpoint. You timed the shot well, with the cigarette smoker in just the right position.

Andrew

Hello Cristina
I remember similar experiences in Prague, and you've caught the mood perfectly. The chiaroscuro tones, the unpretentious architecture, the pedestrians, even the cars (which I'm often tempted - wrongly I'm sure - to avoid) create an authentic statement of place and time. Lovely: in a Gertesque "nothing special" sort of way.
Regards
Will

Hi Cristina
3 posts in a few days, we are really lucky! I like this kind of everyday street life, well enhanced by the deep shade., The roof shadow is indicating the man looking at his mobile phone
Cheers
