Photographer's Note
In Prague castle there's a row of tiny houses built into the castle wall known as Zlata Ulicka, Golden Lane. They were built in the 16th century for the craftsmen of the castle, later on gold merchants moved in and gave the place its name. Franz Kafka lived for a time in the blue house on the left.
I got down on the floor with my mini tripod - luckily it was dusk, and the street was relatively quiet. Resized and auto-levels, and I cloned out a cigarette butt. I can't tell whether or not it needs rotating, none of the verticals are true anyway!

Yes, some verticals are distorted by time and some from optics, who can know which. I think you made a good choise with the houses in the middle along the continuation of the street. The others can vary from that at their will. The old pavement makes a fine foreground to this soft dusk scene. And I love the old streets of Prague!

Your Prague shots are genuinely beautiful, Andy. I enjoy how the low viewpoint from the mini tripod emphasizes the cobblestone in the foreground. A very lovely scene with those small houses on the left; I remember bumping my head in one of the doorways when we went there with our school class in 1985 (the unfortunate incident might even have occurred at the Kafka house ...). The pedestrians make for a slightly blurry but vital element of your composition here. Well done!

Beautiful and interesting viewpoint here Andy!
I would have thought that these weren't houses but maybe storefronts of little shops had I not read your notes. Your photos of Prague are beautiful. Job well done.

Lovely picture, Andy. You did a great job composing this shot, the low angle makes all the difference. You also managed to keep everything in focus, from the near tiles on the ground to the houses in the distance. Colors came out real nice, also. I don't think it needs any rotation. It's perfect. COngratulations.

Nice angle of shot, showing the old pavement. The warm colors and light coming from the door openings is real nice. It's really too bad that there is that blown out sky messing up the nice evening atmosphere.

This is a wonderful image, with an appealing perspective (joining well off center), beautiful natural warm colors, a very good mix of day and artificial light, just a bit of movement with the couple in front... and a stunning low point of view enhancing these beautiful paving stones. Lots of ingredients to make a succesful shot. Congratulations!

I like the low angle and the warm lighting. A crop removing some of the foreground would also work well.

Definitely a good idea to get down low for this shot and let us see those old cobblestones. I like the light coming from the open doors and the blur of the couple walking.

Great shot, Andy. I like the low angle. The colours of the buildings are good, but the light coming from the open doors is especially beautiful. Well seen.

excellent work, Andy. A very effective low angle, beautiful light and coloers. I don't think you have to rotate it, it's very nice this way. The motion blur of the people there is nice, too. Well done.

Prague is really beautiful town according to me. And you can show it to us. Interesting picture, Andy!

The angle on this picture is great, and the colors turned out really well. Good exposure. I was in Prague in December, and looking at this picture is just like being there again. The angle of the cobblestones is really interesting. The lines add a lot to the photo.

I love the light coming out from the doors and windows - also the angle. Havn't read what others have said - don't want to be influenced - the rotation is correct - buildings are often slanted but people walk upright usually!

The low angle is great! The colors are truly amazing and warm. I especially like the effect that the warm, yellow light from the street lamps lit up the dull, grey building on the right. Very nice shot.

Hola Andy. Felicidades.
Yeray.
