Photographer's Note
Sorry people, but I can`t stop with sharing of this nicely blueness from Croatia. ;-)
This is captured from a bridge of Šibenik 16 km away from Sibenik. This is a way to the "KRKA" National park with a boats from Adriatic Sea. The National Park is also reachable by very good motorway.
Inside the long inlet of the Krka River, close to the well-known waterfalls, surrounded by woods, lies the town of Skradin. Rich in ancient edifices and cultural monuments it offers the visitor an insight into the rich history of the oldest Croatian settlement with the status of a town (360 B.C.).
The pleasant atmosphere, public beach and the interesting area is why Skradin has become one of the favorite destinations of transit boaters.
Krka National Park offers 4.5 km of beautiful promenades, beaches (Skradinski buk) and rest areas, whereas in the upper course of the Krka River one can visit Visovac Islet, the Franciscan monastery or the waterfall Roški slap.
For the Boat Owners;
ACI marina Skradin lies in the bay, northwest of the pier in Skradin. Because of the fresh-water in the marina, this is a popular place for boaters to leave their yachts during the winter, especially wooden ones.
ACI marina Skradin has been nominated for the -European Blue Flag- in the year 2000, an environmental award, given to communities that make a special effort to keep their beaches and marinas clean and manage them with consideration for the local environment.
Not far away from this point the river Krka reaches the Adriatic Sea, what you can see on THIS PHOTO, posted by our member on TE - Kresimir.

Nice shot Don! I like the way the boats moving to the opposite of our glance. But, I would have tried to remove the pylons in background, that creates a distraction.

Hi Don Quichotte, keep on sharing that blueness! It is very beautiful and if I were a boat-owner, I would very much like to make a trip here. Unfortunately, I can only dream about this...
Good composition with warm mediteranean colours. Like all those beautiful boats in the picture.

Just to ad to Don's words; The way from Islands of Kornati, trough Sibenik channel, under Sibenik bridge (on the photo), then into the Krka channel to Skradin and NP Krka is yet discovered by the world jet set. Besides the beauty of nature there one more thing they like - here (for some reason) nobody cares for world stars, so they have a lot of privacy. In last few years, Bill Gates, Paul Alen, John Malovich, Gweneth Paltrow, Christian Amanpur (CNN) and many others were seen here...
