This was the scene through my 3 star Hotel Hemus window at the western end of the corridor, looking back towards the Vrachanski karst. I excluded the white, overexposed sky in camera. There is a thin dusting of overnight snow on the bg trees.

Hello Chris,
A beautiful winter view of the roofs of the town in the foreground and the snow covered trees against the mountain slopes in the background. The warmer colours of the houses are very well saturated.

Hello Chris,
I think it was a good idea to crop the sky, regardless whether or not it was overexposed. This way we can imagine the mountainside being a lot higher than it probably was. This composition certainly had a dramatic effect. The town looks cold under the fresh snow in the bleak light.

Hello Chris,
The amount of snow is not too bad on the wooded mountain slope. The roofs of the village seem to have collected more snow.
The village is completely pressed against the mountain slopes.

Hi Chris,
High viewpoint from your hotel works well. Thin layers of snow looks great on the mountain slopes. It makes the landscape more luminous. Also roofs of buildings are now white.

Hi Chris,
I keep thinking about Bulgaria because it is relatively close and I have never been to the Black Sea coast. Unfortunately most of the attractive places are far away from the coast so if I take my family there, I won't be able to see too much.
Great composition here with the impressive mountains feeling very mighty here above the snow covered village,
