One of the most beautiful and impressive churches in Sofia was built in 1912 as an expression of gratitude of the Bulgarian people for the remarkable self sacrifice of the 200 000 Russian soldiers who by their unprecedented valour, resolution and boundless fraternal love, at the price of their blood and life, in the Russo-Turkish Liberation War (1877-1878) broke the chains of the nearly five century Ottoman bondage and gave the people their priceless freedom.

incredible this blue sky! Is the perfect background for the architecture, in particular the gold of the cupolas.

You are right... This is a beautiful piece of architecture! And your capture do justice to your subject... Good sharpness lets us enjoy all the interesting details in the structure, as your POV also gives a hint of the surroundings... The beautiful backdrop of blue sky completes the picture... well done, churches can be difficult subjects
