Photographer's Note
Jablanica is a town and municipality of the same name in central Bosnia and Herzegovina. The town is situated on the Neretva river and Jablanica lake. Jablanica is a part of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.
During the Battle of the Neretva in 1943, Jablanica was the site of a successful raid by a group of Partisans led by Josip Broz Tito. A rail bridge over the river was blown up while a train was in the middle of crossing. There is a park and monument commemorating this action at the site. The bridge section and the locomotive which can still be seen in the river gorge are the remains of a film set depicting the battle, from the 1960s.
Neretva Bridge, destroyed during the Fourth enemy offensive and recreated for the 1969 film, "The Battle of Neretva."
Battle of Neretva is a 1969 Yugoslavian partisan film. The film was written by Stevan Bulajić and Veljko Bulajić, and directed by Veljko Bulajić. It is based on the true events of World War II. The Battle of the Neretva was due to a strategic plan for a combined Axis powers attack in 1943 against the Yugoslav Partisans. The plan was also known as the Fourth Enemy Offensive and occurred in the area of the Neretva river in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This is a much less often seen bridge than the famous one in Mostar. The scenery is dramatic and beautiful. I am very attracted by the dense vegetation and the beautiful colours, as well as the old train.

Attractive the old locomotive on far right side, Piotr, and the surroundings with green all over.
Stones-bridge and iron-built elevator leading the viewer to the white houses on the plateau, all are great elements to look at.

Byłem nad Neretwą, ale z drugiej strony granicy, piękne okolice, oglądałem głσwnie deltę

I love the lush foliage which provides natural framing with wonderful colours, light and exposure with excellent detail throughout even in the shadow areas.
Those well lit houses add the finishing touch so superbly as strong contrast and point of anchor. A peaceful landscape shot, Congrats.
