Very nice shot John. You've captured the mood here very well with the fog and the cow adds to the composition. The one thing that I was wondering is how it would look if you cropped the road on the far right to just outside the (left) of the second line of trees? Just a thought.

Hi John,
You indeed made very good use of the tractor tracks in the foreground grass, which breaks up the large space there nicely. The fog, the little road on the left, and the rather ghostly figures of the cows staring outward all give a surreal look to the scene, which resembles a painting. I particularly like the trees here. Very fine work, John.

Hi John!
It's not so obvious sight. The cow at the far side of the asphalt road, mist and what are those other wheel marking doing here? Someone tried to drive over the trees? :)

The fog creates always a fascinating effect in photograph and this is the case too. The inclusion of the cow is a fantastic plus since it adds life and dynamism to the composition.

Goeienavond, John. Ja, we zijn weer in november en deze foto herinnert eraan, zelfs als hij nuit september dateert. Mooi perspectief met de bomen die in de mist verdwijnen. De koe geeft de indruk voor de foto te poseren. Dank zij haar positie in het beeld creërt ze diepte en aan de andere kant komt ze goed uit op de grasvoorgrond.

Les Flandres en automne est la région idéale pour ce genre de composition.
La brume agrémente parfaitement cette composition en lui conférant une ambiance de calme et sérénité.

Ik dacht heel even dat het een grote hond was ;-)
Vind je gekozen hoek met de weg en de bomenrij erg goed overkomen, een heel goede en vooral mooie sfeer gecreeerd...schitterend.

a scene completely surealist with this cow which seems to emerge from nowhere. and always these perfectly aligned trees. A landscape which is lost slowly in the fog.

Hallo John, een lange tijd ben ik niet meer op TE geweest door gebrek aan tijd, maar stilheeft u niet gezeten, deze laatste vind ik wel zeer aangenaam, november heeft ons nog weinig mist geven maar ik zie dat hij genomen is in september dan hebben wij inderdaad enkele mist morgens gehad, goed werk hier met de koe die toekijkt, kanalen en bossen blijken us grote troeven tezijn niettegenstaande uw kastelen ook topper zijn.

These cows looking between the fog they seem to wonder what is it making this human being?
I like this wet and disagreeable environment that gives the fog, which hides the beauty of the landscape and the geometry of the trees next to the highway, and steals his perspective from us.
The traces of the wheels in the grass add another very graphical element.

I love photos taken in the mist because of the atmosphere & who better to capture such moments than you...The calf is a huge bonus in the FG before the line of trees receeding into the mist...and the other cow emerging from behind a tree... Just great!

I have alsways like the special atmosphre associated with fog but never manage to get a decent view of it. Despite the lack of light, this one is excellent in terms of sharpness. And there is again the rows of trees, which seem like a signature of yourstyle.
