Hello Pierre,

Ghent through corona I come not in Ghent
The "Groentenmarkt" "vegetable market" is a square in the historic city center of Ghent. The Groot Vleeshuis has been located on the square since 1251. The square used to be a cattle market and later, from 1366 to 1689, a fish market, to which the Viskopershuis still refers.
Almost historic that here are no people, normally always very crowded.

Salut Pierre,une architechture un peu triste, et la journee' nuageuse aussi est parfaite pour completer cette sensation,capture parfaite pour cette fontaine qui necessite de quelque travaux de nettoyage. Belle soiree' et merci,Luciano

This would have been much better if the fountain was operating but it is a good photo of the fountain and surrounds.

Hello Pierre,

I read John's critique with interest, explaining the age of the site and the fact that it should be full of people! It was taken before the pandemic began so it is difficult to explain why it is so quiet!
However, you have faithfully captured what you saw, including what was the cattle market and the tall, grey fountain.
I think you may have been able to clone out the bit of an object in the left corner.
