BRUGES 2021
We have been to Bruges twice during corona, not for our pleasure but to pay an urgent visit to my sister.
Everyone who has visited Bruges has been to this place, I am sure.
The Market, sometimes also called "Grote Markt", is a market square in Bruges.
The market is located in the heart of the historic city center and has an area of approximately 1 ha. On the south side of the square is one of the city's best-known monuments, the 12th-century belfry.

Hello John,
Back to one of your favourite cities and, at last, occupied by people!
This square is surrounded by tall, characterful buildings which act as a fine backdrop to your photograph, interesting in their own right and also concentrating attention into the square.
The pedestrian to the right acts as a good guide towards the activity of carriages and market stalls.

It was a fairly cloudy day, but for such a day the light was good and the colours are very nicely mild and clear. It is good to see so relatively many persons doing sightseeing. They are perfect complements to the beautiful buildings.

Hello John, from this point of view the square does look enormous. So plenty of room for people to spread out and keep their distance.
The people, the carriage and horses add much to the shot with a background of beautiful buildings.
I have never been to Bruges but would love to visit one day.

Hallo John,
De foto geeft een mooi overzicht van het grote plein in Brugge. De verschillende gevels aan de andere kant zijn een mooi decor voor de mensen, paarden en het standbeeld in het midden.

I remember this area when I visited Bruges in April 2011. The point of view is showing the details of the market place and of the buildings. The light is makinng the colors to stand out. Have a nice day.

Hallo John,
De toeristen waren duidelijk terug, alhoewel nog niet massaal.
De paardenkoetsen stonden terug op hun plaats. Wat zou er in die tussentijd met hen gebeurd zijn?
Het plein wordt prachtig afgelijnd met de kleurrijke gevels.
Heel mooie sfeerfoto van de Markt in Brugge.

This is a wonderful place, so photogenic and irresistible Bruges. The colourful frontage and the shapes in the roofs as famous as the canals. Inclusion of people is important to vitalize the whole show. Splendid capture and tfs

Hello John,
I'm sure you know that how much I love about Bruges.
It's the most romantic city ... Paris is no match :-)
To be honest, my memory failed me. I cannot remember seeing this market square.
I think it's about time I re-visit Bruges again.
So busy with people ... it's so spaces and the lovely horse-carriages waiting for customers to take them round the beautiful city.
