Moerkerke, 10 km of Bruges and 10 km of the Belgian coast

During my cycling trip I saw this machine sorting onions and removing all sand or clay grains and laying them nicely in rows.

As a child on the farm, everything was handmade, so that we continued to smell like onions even after we washed.
But it would be a medicine against many viral diseases, if true, because early the farmers could tell stories, true or false, the choice is yours.

In principle, you can start harvesting onions from the end of July.
Onions and shallots are ripe as soon as the stems begin to crack and two-thirds of the foliage has dried.
Pull them out of the ground, and let them dry nicely spread out on, for example, a newspaper in a room with plenty of air circulation and out of direct sunlight.
They will be dry after about a week.
The longer you dry them, the longer you can keep them.

I hope you like it.
