Photographer's Note

Botrange is Belgium's highest summit with moderate 694,24 m. The summit was Prussian territory from 1815 until 1920 as the Belgian-Prussian border was a few kilometres north from here.

After getting back this area, our nearest neighbours were not quite content with their situation and raised an artificial hill on top, whose stone plateau was levelled exactly at 700,00 m, serving as a reference point for Belgian geodetical survey.
