Through both gates you will see Arentspark in background
You can see through both gates at the end the old mansion with museum.
Former mansion with garden, from 1910 arranged as a museum. Originally part of the Gruuthuse domain until it became a separate plot in 1662. Current whole on irregular plan: bounded to the north by the Dijver, to the west by the Reie, to the south and east by Groeninge. Comprising house on the Dijver, partially built over the Reie, former coach house and garden with gazebo. Prior to 1663, the building's history was linked to Gruuthuse's domain. Current view has been realized in phases.

J'aime beaucoup cette composition.J'apprιcie aussi l'histoire qu'elle raconte. Un beau couple de touristes qui passent les portes pour rejoindre le groupe au loin et sous la pluie.

Hi John,
You had a good idea to use the arches to frame the scene and to create depth. The point of view is showing the details of the arches. There is a good contrast between the colors of the picture. Have a nice day.

Hello John, It was rainy day for your visit in Bruges but the picture is beautiful with the shining wet pavement. Nice composition - from the gate we see another gate and then garden and interesting building in the background. The couple going through the gate is essential here for the charming picture. I like this roof with the moss on it.
I liked Groeninge Museum there.

Hallo John,
Een mooi perspectief door de twee poorten achter elkaar met op de achtergrond zo te zien ook nog een kerkgebouw. Het zorgt voor een mooie dubbele omlijsting. Goed om het tweetal tussen de twee poorten ook in de compositie te hebben.

Hallo John,
Ik beken dat ik wel weet waar je deze foto nam maar me dit beeld met de twee poorten niet meteen herinner. Het is niet de plaats waar zich een fontein in een hoek bevindt maar er ook niet zo ver van af.
Ook hier zien we een bakfiets op de foto. Wanneer je iedere dag in Brussel komt, horen bakfietsen niet tot het dagelijkse beeld. Maar in Leuven zie je ze wel.
De twee poorten geven diepte aan de foto. Mooi dat er zich personen tussen beide in bevinden.
Niet meteen het allerbeste weer maar toch een zeer heldere foto.

Hello John,
A well framed composition that makes good use of the succeeding arches and the presence of the couple, who provide a dynamic focal point. Lights and colours are very well rendered despite the rainy atmosphere. I like the patterns formed by the cobbles glistening under the rain.

Hello John,
Double gates to this park, two sets of the old walls are superbly shown here with good depth and clear view through.
The strange white bicycle on right was the first eyes-catching object on the scene, than looked at the ladies stride through those gates.
Fine picture, looks as a 17th century landmark.

Mooi doorkijkje op deze regenachtige dag, maar gelukkig was het even droog en kon de paraplu dicht blijven. De witte bakfiets is ok een leuk detail van deze geslaagde foto.

Hi John
Looking through the arches! Good perspective on a very old structures, great view point and I like the 'arches through arches through arches' idea and the figs being in the right place certainly leads the eye through whole depth to the far side. A very well framed composition, the colours & exposure are well executed and I love the speck of orange colour on the corner just to alert the eye. A very good shot in concept and application, Congrats
