Hello John,
This massive gate is very impressive indeed. I like the rather unusual point of view, which shows the enormous architecture to superb effect. The light is ideal to bring out the colours and textures in the stonework whilst the people crossing the bridge supply scale. I am very intrigued as to how it came by its name of 'Donkey' gate.

It's an amazing city gate and a very impressive photo, wonderfully sharp and clear and well exposed. The reflections of especially the bridge are very attractive. The person in the red shirt was never aware of the small but important role he was playing for a distant person's photo.

Il est vraiment trθs beau chβteau entourι d'eau. Le pont qui y conduit est magnifique. Beau point de vue qui en montre l'ensemble, mais surtout superbe lumiθre en diagonale.

John, you have has wonderful conditions when taking this photo. All is well exposed and I like how you included the bridge in the picture. Also the reflections in the water add a lot to the composition as the "red biker" does.
This city really offers endless beautiful motifs ...

Hello John,

The red trim on the castle and the red attire of the 2 cyclists contrast superbly with the blue sky to give a marvellous warm cold colour contrast. Nice reflections and the double arched bridge adds a strong focal point. Tfs!

Beautiful shot of the gate system bathed in a glorious low sunshine and look inviting with real feel of the scale. Superb contrast to deep blue sky, the reflective water and the sparkling little red lend a lovely finishing touch. Great visual composition well taken, Congrats

Hallo John,
Prachtige foto van dit poortgebouw en de oude brug eraan vast. Het zijlicht is heel aangenaam. De compositie is mooi verdeeld tussen het indrukwekkende bouwwerk en het park aan de linkerkant. Bovendien zien we ook nog wat mooie spiegelingen in het kalme water.

Een schitterende foto uit je rijke archief met deze Ezelspoort onder een fraaie strakblauwe lucht. Beter dan de koude motregen van vandaag. De vorst is na een dag al weer verdreven.

the structure of the bridge, linked with the tower, is for sure a curious architectonic element, anyway the light was perfect for photos and you got a marvelous job here. TFS.

Hallo John,
Van de Ezelsbrug heb ik hier ook eens een foto getoond maar die was vanop een ander punt genomen.
Het licht valt vanuit de goede richting en de weerspiegelingen zijn prachtig. Mooie ogen gevormd door de brug en het spiegelbeeld.
Deze toegangspoort oogt echt prachtig in het parklandschap.

Hi John,
such a pretty gate and I think I see it for the first time.
You had a lovely day there, the light was fantastic and you photographed it from the good angle to make the best use of the light. We can admire the context, the nice location of the gate . The arched bridge is nicely reflected in the water adding to the nice geometry of the place. We can also spot two people on their bikes, they bring in some life and color to the scene.
