Railway line 58 is a Belgian railway that connects Ghent with Eeklo. The railway line is 22.7 km long. In the past the line continued until Bruges, and the railway line was 51.4 km long. Part of this former route between Bruges and Maldegem has now been set up as a bicycle route under the name Abdijenroute

Hello John,
I think this road should have been better prepared to make it safer for cyclists. Now it looks like the wheels could get stuck where the old tracks used to be, and one could lose balance. Apart from that it is a great view of a peaceful rural area. The warm light has created a lovely atmosphere and very fine colours.

Die oude spoorlijnen in "de Vlaanders" zijn vaak mooie fiets- of wandelpaden. Van deze had ik nog nooit gehoord, maar het ziet er mooi uit.

Hallo John,
Het zijlicht is prachtig en laat de warme herfstkeuren in de bomen en in het gras gloeien. Een mooi contrast met de lichtblauwe lucht. De pad verdwijnt mooi de achtergrond in.

Hallo John,
Je hebt al eens gesproken over die vroegere spoorlijn. Nu blijkt het dus een lang fietspad te zijn geworden. Dat is een geweldige herbestemming.
Vermoedelijk fiets jij er dan ook regelmatig.
Het moet vroeger wel een mooie treinreis geweest zijn. Maar vanop de fiets heb je meer tijd om alles rustig gade te slaan.
Zes jaar geleden rond deze tijd was het weer heel wat mooier. Onder een prachtig licht toont dit landschap de meest aantrekkelijke herfsttinten.
Mooi hoe het fietspad in de verte onder de bomen verdwijnt.

Hello John,
Several railway tracks in the U.K. have been successfully converted into cycle tracks. They are great for people like me as they are perfectly flat!
You have chosen a fine viewpoint for your photograph, where all the lines seem to be converging to a strong vanishing point, on the thirds' line. Not only does this make a fine guide for the viewers, it creates an excellent sense of perspective.
It's a bright day for November, highlighting the greenery in the fields and the few leaves remaining on the trees.
I'm glad you haven't oversaturated the sky for this pale blue is just the colour you would expect in late autumn.

Hallo John!
The November sidelight here causes a wonderful effect. It makes the last leaves really glow. The fomrer railway line leads in a great way into the scenery - and it looks inviting for a cycling excursion. I like it very much!

The old RR line had been converted into a nice walking trail, still there are evidence of the tracks, John, and while looking forwards it creates a good sense of depth to the compo.
Green and blue tones marvelously appearing on the picture.
