Hi John,

The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The length of the canal is giving depth to the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the houses and of the tower or gate. The good luminosity is enhancing the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

Bonjour John
Je doit retourner ΰ Bruges, il y a beaucoup d'endroits que je n'ai jamais vu, comme cette porte, entrιe de Bruges, quel belle lumiθre un jour hiver, renforce les couleurs et donne de trθs beaux reflets, il aurait ιtι dommage de la laisser dormir dans le disque dur !!

Hello John, there is a lovely light, typical of a winters day, and it has created some beautiful reflections.
The gulls on the grass add to the overall scene.
The bare trees allow us to see more of the buildings and the bridge.

Hello John,

This is utterly beautiful!
The buildings are eye-catchingly unusual, perfectly placed in the frame, and are emphasised by their shimmering reflections!
The light is just glorious! There are highlighted places, shaded places, and shadows contrasting on the bright spots.
The seagulls add a special bit of magic to this already beautiful scene.

Hi Jim,
Your picture remind my time when I visited Bruges and took photos of four gates. One of them, the Ezelpoort Town Gate I posted on TE.
Great pov and the water gave an excellent reflection of the gate. Well done with perfect quality.

Wonderful big tower reflection, an eyes catching object, as soon as opened the thumbnail, John.
The surrounding is under shadows and yet the naked branches on left provide a nice contrast. The seagulls on the green at right side bank, was a nice bonus to the scene.
