Bonjour Didier,
notre été est parti pour ressembler à l'hiver. Il a été froid, un des plus froids, mais avec des journées de ciel dégagé et je vois que tu en as bien profité.
Toujours la tête dans les étoiles et ici sur la Lune que l'on commémore ce jour.
J'admire ton placement ici par rapport à l'astre et à cet arbre mort d'avant plan. Tu fais de cet endroit, une vrai mine d'or pour les photographes.
Les teintes pastels du ciel sont magnifiques.

Hello Didier,

What an astonishingly beautiful image commemorating multiple events. Of course, here in the United States I am most familiar with Man's first landing on the moon, but I am happy to learn of the National Day in Belgium. Congratulations, and a happy National Day to you.

The bare trees, the gradation of pastel colors from pink to blue, the huge moon — all collaborate to make this a very special photograph. I intend to hang it among my favorites, as soon as I can open some space.

Une image très excitante! Quel paysage fantastique! Les nuances de couleurs et la silhouette hiératique de l'arbre mort surplombé par la lune font frissonner. La neige, en prime, accentue encore l'effet dramatique. Juste une curiosité, tu étais à combien, en iso?

now I know what it is about your nature pictures that is always so enchanting...it´s your choice to walk the forests in the night or early morning, when the nature is most compelling and eerie and quiet and without people...and this photo has it all, really.

Hi Didier,
I remember this day forty years ago. We in Poland also could watch moon landing (only state in Eastern Bloc). Hard to believe so many years passed... In that time our national day was 22th July so it was easy to remember the date. And who knows it they really landed on Moon. I think the landed. Wow, I like this shot, incredible elements here - the colours of the sky quite unusual, this dead tree and full moon...

twisted trees, exquisite pastel colours and full moon - this has to be Didier's shot :) love it, especially the implicit message of per aspera ad astra. the sky and colours are pure magic, the gradient colours make this look like something from far north. great shot, my compliments.

J'ai déjá vu quelques photos prises dans cet endroit, mais ce n'est pas suffisant puisqu'il est vraiment beau et quand on voit photos qui ont été très bien prises comme celle-ci, on a envie de voir plus images!
La netteté, la luminosité, les couleurs et la composition sont tout à fait excellentes!
Le résultat visuel avec l'arbre sèc et la lune est merveilleux!

Cette image est une merveille. Quelle fantastique façon de fêter ces deux évènements (personnellement, je suis un peu plus sensible à l'homme sur la lune quand même o)). La composition, les teintes, la profondeur de champ, tout est nickel. J'admire!

Hi Didier,
I tried, unsuccessfully, to take a shot similar to yours, but it became blurred when cropping. As I told you in my reply to your critique, I think the problem was with the focusing, not the shaking of the camera.
Did you crop to get this size of the moon? You have full frame camera, right?
Excellent photo, a milestone to reach some day, in fact, I have your previous photo of this subject as favorite.

Encore une belle image de cette magnifique sériee. La lune est superbien cadrée entre les branches et comme d'hab. la dégradée des couleurs du ciel est très jolie.

Etant donné que tu vois la lune de plus près que la plupart parmi nous, est-ce que tu crois vraiment que l'homme y a mis le pied ? D'ailleurs je viens de voir des paysages où l'atterissage aurait pu être filmé.

Tu as idéalement placé la lune qui ressort à merveille. Les arbres morts ont des branches aussi belles qu'un dessin japonais, sans oublier le dégradé du ciel et les quelques traces de neige... Rien à redire, juste que je suis bouche bée !!!
