Second picture out of the series early in morning
December 21 start of winter.
I was out early with my bicycle; it was -2 degrees Celsius freezing. I visited the marina of Eeklo, with a beautiful sunrise, but also the canal 2 km furder
I took some pictures, and you can admire the result
I hope it is approved.

This canal gives access to the marina also toward Bruges and Ghent
River tourism is on the rise and via the Ghent-Oostende canal you can easily reach the heart of the centre of the flat Meetjesland. The marina of Eeklo has a slipway or slipway and, in addition to traditional moorings for pleasure boats, also offers an ideal base for hikers and campers, thanks to the specially constructed and quiet motorhome parking. In addition to fishing and kayaking, you can enjoy a snack & drink on the rippling water in and around the cozy clubhouse with bistro kitchen. In short, the Marina of Eeklo is without a doubt worth a visit!

Hi John,
The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the trees and of the fields. The sunrise is giving nice colors to the picture. Well done, have a nice day.

Hello John,
Yesterday we had about -10 °C here, and it was also a bit windy, so it felt even colder. But I would not dream of going on a bicycle tour in that kind of temperature. I admire your ambitions to capture the sunrise and the most beautiful light regardless of weather. The sun's strong light is nicely filtered through the trees and beautifully reflected in the calm water along with the row of trees. The frost on the ground tells us it was a cold day.

Hi John,
I am speechless here! This is so beautiful. No words can give it a justice.
I always like your series of photos taken along the channel with the array of identical trees so neatly aligned, but here the perfect reflection and the presence of the rising sun turned it into a true spectacle for our eyes!
The frost decorates the foreground nicely too.
And the fog adds a nice effect further in the distance.
Amazing high quality of work!

De foto oogt ijzig koud met de vorst op het gras en de egaal blauwe winterlucht.
Het is wel een fantastisch mooie foto. Zowel wat compositie betreft, als diepte en scherpte. De opgaande zon is goed geplaatst, de helderheid is aantrekkelijk en we zien mooie weerspiegelingen in het kanaal.

Great to see a frosty shot f your favourite theme, tree rows next to a canal. Low angle sunlight looks great. I can imagine the sunshine melt the frost fairly quickly.

Spectacular this beautiful sunset, I love those golden tones that the mist takes, the perspective with the two lines of trees superb, to the right a straight line that seems to have no end, to the left of the channel the other diagonal line offers beautiful reflexes.
Both the color and the brightness of the photo are magnificent, highlighting the beauty and sharpness of the composition.
