Photographer's Note
Picture taken right after sunset this Sunday evening. A very nice way to finish this (cold) weekend was a walk along the (muddy) shores of the Leopoldkanaal, near Watervliet, my home town.
The canal runs to the North Sea, collecting excess water coming from the polders on its way, thus protecting those polders against floods. Only nature rules here, let us hope for years to come!

Nice capture after sunset Mathieu. Its a tricky time to capture light. If you shoot in sunlight then expose the ground. If you shoot after sunset then it might be good to expose the sky a little lower exposure. For a few suggested photos take a look at this shot by Jhm. If you shoot before sunset you might be able to capture a photo likethis. As you can see I have a thing about tree lined canals. Check out my sight for image quality. And have a good day!

This is a typical shot from Belgium ;)
Lovely one.
Well captured silhouettes.
I would capture this from a bit of left or right to get the red sky.

Excellent photo! Prachtige rij met bomen die in het licht staan van een zonsondergang! Prachtige kleuren en erg goede compositie. De weerspiegeling in het water is ook erg mooi.

de foto is donker, maar als liefhebber van deze soort foto's en bewoner van de streek, direct herkenbaar. Is deze genomen vanop de Watervlietbrug met je rug naar het westen ?

Goeienavond, Mathieu. Mooi schemerlicht en zeer goed perspectief. De reflecties van de schrale bomen in het water dragen ook bij tot de verrwezenlijking van de herftsachtige avondsfeer.
