Photographer's Note
Looking down from Hochosterwitz castle you see an archetype of a house...simple, small, in the middle of a field, surrounded by an exactly squared stone wall. I didn΄t find any literature about it, but regarding its isolated position right below the castle and the stonewall around it I suppose it was used in the middle ages to put people under quarantine - a disease house, which was quite common in former times...
Please see the map for location.
Thanks, Melinda and her friend Nadine for their nice company ! Hope you liked the weekend here :)

ciao Christian!
ciao e buona domenica sERGIO

hahaha, Chris, it is so funny! Looks surreal. How he (farmer) goes there through the fields? There is no way. It looks like an island. And the green is so fresh! Wow, I like it very much!!

Hello Christian,
Very nice light management, very nice composition with vivid colors. I like the saturation and the texture of the field.
It seems like a playhouse or a decor of an artwork. Is it a photo map?
Regards, Vasilis.

Hallo Christian,
Looks like an image from Sim City ;-)
The view from above really works. And despite the earth is dark with hardly any life inside the patches of green and that tree beside the house work very good in here. another very clever composed image....well done.
Have a nice sunday,
Henk

Hi Chris,
Lovely composition! The shadow of the house is so large, thanks to the light of the end of the day.
I like how you composed, placing the lines of the ground in diagonal. The sharpness gives them a lot of graphism.
Well done,
Cheers,
Marianne

Hello Christian..
i think the proportions more than anything else has contributed to the success of this photo..the shadow runs straight down symmetrically towards the bottom of the frame is the strongest element in the compo..
like it alot

Hi Christian,
It really is isolated in the middle of all that chocolate brown. I love the little patch of green exactly surrounding it and leading to the tree. Beautiful light and your elevated point of view helps to show the isolation.

Hi Christian,
A fantastic capture from an adequate point of view!
The back lighting is glorious thus creating a detailed 3D effect!
The big tree seems to be spot lighted!
The dark grey ground is serving as a backdrop to the little house and the trees like a studio capture!
Great job. Regards.

Here's another hat off to you, Christian. Excellent composition. Great shadows and counterlight. Maybe the only pity is the big shadow top right, as we don't know what caused it. But that's just my two pence thought. Absolutely great shot!

Hi Christian,
It is really fantastic! The place is extraordinary and your photo is marvelous with this gold-coloured tree which stands out on the brown ground and the small square of grass around. It is really unreal. You got a very beautiful lighting which makes shining the groud and bring some very sweet shadows.
A great shot, bravo!

Hallo Christian,

Composizione perfetta come sempre.
Bravissimo!
