Photographer's Note
A manikin in a shop-window in Stephansplatz. I took this photo during a one-night-visit in Wien.
I just passed this shop-window and I noticed these intersting reflections. In the background on the right you can see the Stephansdom.
(desaturated the colours except the manikins)
I would be pleased if you told me about your opinion of the photo!

Well Marton... it is working for me!
I have to say that I am far from being a fan of partial desaturation. But here, it is a good idea, though I did not see the original.
Photos of reflection in shop windows are far from being uncommon. It is not easy to be original, unique and having something new that will grab the eyes of the viewer. You did with this one. Not only because of the desaturation. For me, it would not be enough. What is making the photo here, is the two reflections behind the manikin.
So, here is my little nitpick. There is some blue cast at a few places in the photo, especially at the right bottom. I would suggest you to work on that too.
I might also try to do a square format, just to see the effect. Maybe you did try it. Crop on each side, especially the left side.
Well, these are only suggestions since you ask so nicely about my opinion! :))
Have a great week.

Szia Marci !

Hi Marton, The great use of B/W-colour mix & the reflection have created a wonderful piece of modern art, this photo would grace any gallery wall, very well composed, perfect POV, nice use of light & a superb eye to see, this deserves more credit than it has been given, TFS, kind regards Wilson.

Hi Marci
Excellent photo from Vienna.
The colorful mankin and the B/W surranding make a nice atmoshpere.
I also like the reflaction of the famous Church on the glass.
I really appreciate the photo.

Ocskaimarci! reflection upon reflection upon reflection. what's real? who knows. excellent idea and compo with the Stefansdom thrown in for good measure, you get a lot for your money.
(I hope you didn't spend it all in one night in Vienna, hahaha. the Euro is expensive.)

Szia Marci,

May i say Marci that, this is one of your most creative shots, along with the one with the cave (this is even more prone to the creativity scale)?
A screen and a mirror, found with your photographer's attention, and evaluated perfectly to create multiple possibilites of reflection.
A confusing and not easy to resolve photo, gaining further psychological depth with your excellent title. The mannequin is very sharp and Stephansdom is blurred, even this detail is confusing when you consider the optical result. I don't know how you managed that partial coloring, i can never do something like that, and it works well to draw attention to the brother and his reflection brothers.
The idea of having someone's reflection as his own brother is already a challange for the mind. Great photo indeed.
Congrats!
Deniz
ps: don't you also think that this kind of photography is much better than landscapes? :)))

hello marton
great composition. I simply love how only manikin stays in colour and light while other parts are B&W.
Best regards and best wishes for the new year

Hola Marton:
In my opinion this photo is very creative and it has a very well thought-out framing, you have made use of the reflexes of the shop window to create this ambience of magic and fantasy. Also, the exhibition is not easy for the light contrast, and you have obtained a very good result. I congratulate you on this work, I like much.
Greetings from Spain.

EXCELLENT IDEA MY FRIEND
I AM REALLY SO AMATEUR THAT I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU MAKE SOME PLACES COLORED AND SOME B/W
IT IS AN EXCELLENT TECHNIQUE WHICH I HAVE TO LEARN ABOUT. HOW EASY IS TO TELL ME SOME MAIN GUIDELINES FOR?
THANKS IN ADVANCE
