Photographer's Note
This photo is taken during a stroll across the “Camí Ral de Arans to Llorts”, in Andorra, a beautiful path next to the river, with meadows, horses and trees.
The interpretative “Itinerary of the iron” is one of the protagonists of the landscape of the valley of Ordino. It is observed on rocks, it is smelled in the water, walking between sculptures distributed by all the route.
Is interesting to watch the different forms that takes this mineral throughout this path, from Arans to the mine of Llorts, a former mining exploitation from the 17th century until middle of the 20th century.
Next to the former mine I saw these reddish rocks because of the iron mineral, and I liked its strong contrast with the green grass.
The itinerary can begin in the Rossell forge, passing by the house Areny-Plandolit Museum. According to the level and interest of the visitor the itinerary can be a simple stroll or a true deepening in the subject.

Esta foto está tomada durante un paseo a lo largo del Camí Ral de Arans a Llorts, en Andorra, un bello camino al lado del río, con prados, caballos y árboles.
El Itinerario interpretativo del hierro es uno de los protagonistas del paisaje del valle de Ordino. Se observa en las rocas, se huele en el agua, caminando entre esculturas distribuidas por todo el recorrido.
Es interesante mirar las distintas formas que toma este mineral a lo largo de este camino, desde Arans hasta la mina de Llorts, una antigua explotación minera desde el Siglo XVII hasta mediados del Siglo XX.
Justo al lado de la antigua mina vi estas rocas rojizas por causa del mineral de hierro, y me gustó su fuerte contraste con la verde hierba.
El itinerario puede iniciarse en la fragua Rossell, pasando por la casa Museo Areny-Plandolit. Según el nivel e interés del visitante el itinerario puede ser un simple paseo o una verdadera profundización en el tema.

Ciao Josep,
Davvero incredibile e bella allo stesso tempo la conformazione geologica ed il colore di questa formazione rocciosa. Mi piace molto il modo in cui l'hai fotografata e composta, mettendo cioè ai due angoli la vegetazione. Splendide luce e colori, qualitá come sempre perfetta in ogni minimo dettaglio.

Les deux photographies sont nécessaires pour bien comprendre la photo publiée.
La roche rouge ferrugineuse est parfaitement mise en valeur et prend toute sa force à l'environnement immédiat (herbe verte).
C'est toujours intéressant d'apprendre.

On a pas tout récupéré le fer, il en reste encore et ça donne de merveilleuses couleurs au rocher et une belle harmonie avec la verdure. Belle prise de vue en diagonale, bel éclairage et excellente qualité d'image.

Hello Josep,
Very well observed and presented. It is amazing how oxidation takes place in the rocks giving that reddish color. Like the way you have placed the green grass on the top and bottom to give a nice color contrast.

Una magnifica composicion, que junto con tu interesante y explicativa nota y la otra bonita foto del WS, nos sirve de maravilla para situarnos, comprender y valorizar, esta interesantisima y atractiva imagen.
Me encanta este color rojizo de la roca y el bonito contraste con el vivido verde de la hierba, con esta disposicion diagonal, queda ideal.

Bonjour Josep,
une phénomène spectaculaire que tu as photographié avec beaucoup de feeling, il fallait en effet bien doser les lumières et cadrer de manière à équilibrer les couleurs.
Les obliques ou diagonales conviennent mieux que l'e horizontales ou verticales, bien vu aussi.

Intéressante composition où l'on apprécie la texture de Fe3O4 oxyde ferrique à l'état naturel.
C'est une composition simple et ceci prouve ta qualité d'observation car on y pense pas souvent à photographier un tel sujet.
