Berat - the city of thousands of windows,

If you have an apportunity you should really visit it. I think Berat is the most beautiful city in Albania. I visited also Gjirokastλr, Krujλ, Durrλs, Sarandλ, Butrint and I liked Berat the most. If you go there by car DO NOT go by Fier-Berat road (SH73), because it's the worse road I have ever seen in my life :). We didn't know about its surface so went there and it occurs that it really wasn't a good idea. In the "asphalt" there were huge holes, we almost need to stop the car to get through it, max speed 15km/h. The pebble road would be better, because there's no holes then. Instead, you should make some more distance and go by SH72 (near Lushnjλ) I assure it would be faster. It's not the best road as well, but better than SH73 :). Have a nice trip ;)! I also recommend the hotel where we stayed called Nasho Vruho - very nice place - inside the old town!
