Photographer's Note
‘Granada - Iglesia de Xalteva’
Back in the city.
The Xalteva Church was built in the colonial era and it got its name from the indigenous people who lived in this area.
However, it was destroyed by an earthquake and rebuilt again between 1895 and 1898.
The last reconstruction was completed in 1921.
I took the picture in the small but beautiful Parque Xalteva at the other side of the street.
In the workshop you can see how someone exhibits his extensive hat collection :)
There are Panama hats (traditional brimmed straw hats), but also others.
BTW, do you know in which country the Panama hats found their origin?
Of course not in the obvious country. The origin is Ecuador.
Just like the French fries also have their origin elsewhere :)
The third picture was taken in the lakeside park.

Hallo Paul,

Hi Paul
for some reason, this one has a festive type of feel to it, almost like its Xmas but clearly its not haha. lots of colors, lots of brightness and illumination, it jumps off the screen.
I like the addition of all the trees as it gives more life, literally. sharp and clear as always
cheers

The tree in beautiful blossom added much vivid colors to the church and garden picture, Paul.
All 3 posts are wonderful presentation.
In my humble opinion, a closer take upon the church's facade with its beautiful tower would give excellent perspectiver.
Have a nice new day,
Ike

Hello Paul, What is amazing on your pictures from Nicaragua are the colors. Are they real or it is post-processing?Anyway, they are fabulous. Fantastic view of this church. Charming small park, beautiful pink flowers.
In my plans for the next year, South America is on top. But I do not know when and how.
Have a great day

Dag Paul,
Groet Rob

Hello Paul,
Any of these three photos could well have been used as a main upload. This one is probably the most beautiful view in a conventional sense, whereas the hat collection is the most original one and the WS#2 has the most colourful and decorative details. So it's a matter of choice: beauty, originality or details.
Kind regards,
Gert

Dag Paul,
Ook uw twee bijgaande foto's are heel mooi om naar te kijken.
Maar uw hoofd foto is bijzonder door de mooie kleuren van de bloesem.
De kerk in de achtergrond tegen de blauwe hemel maakt uw foto compleet af.
Pracht werk geleverd, bedankt.
Groetjes uit Oost Vlaanderen,

Hello Paul,
The colors of the church, and also the flowering trees, are beautiful. The hat collection in the square is very curious. Nicaragua is bursting with colors everywhere, and I enjoy seeing the different views through your photos.

Hallo Paul,
The bg church with its orange facade contrasts well with the blue sky to give a nice warm cold color contrast. Nice repetition of the stone lanterns in the fg park. Excellent colour and sharpness. Tfs!

Hi Paul,
one more fairy tale like structure from Granada. The churches seem so colorful there.
This one has also quite unique architecture. Its tower has an interesting shape.
Very picturesque view here. I like the multitude of colors and abundance of light.
The vegetation beautifully frames the garden and church itself.
It seems like great place for a walk,
Merry Christmas!
