What could be more pleasant than to leave the busy Parque Central with the cathedral and wander around through quieter streets, to see the inhabitants in their daily activities with the colourful houses on the background ?

Hello dear Paul,
Another perfect capture in your gallery. Very good composed with perfect light management and quite eyecatching colors.
Also here in Turkey you can meet similar scenes but in our case they -most probably- would be playing backgammon :-)

hello Paul, This street scene reminds me of Cuba, I have seen there many chess players, often they were surrounded by people watching them. In all three pictures, the colours of the houses are wonderfully saturated. I like also these white iron bars, they are so delicate, as lace. wonderful photos.

Of course the splash of ochre yellow made me open the thumbnail. But now I see the details, the concentration of both players on their game, just a pity the third man in the door looked inside at that moment...

Hallo Paul,
Die man in de deuropening gaf waarschijnlijk net de stand van het spelletje door aan iemand die binnen zat. Een mooie impressie uit de straten van deze stad. De gele muur vormt een prachtige achtergrond en de beide stoelen en de rode rand gaan er mooi mee samen. Zou de winnaar van het vorige potje op de comfortabele schommelstoel mogen zitten en de verliezer op de tuinstoel?

Hello Paul,
AS I studied your photograph, complementing it for its bright colours, sharp details and engaging composition, it occurred to me that this is a scene I have never experienced in England, two men, sitting out in the sunshine, playing a table game. This year, the sunshine has been plentiful, but such an activity was still not experienced!

I fully agree: What could be more pleasant than watching people in their daily activities...? So what took you so long? ;-) As you well know this is my kind of favourite photos. All three today are nice, but this one has the best matching colours and the best activity. It's also a kind of "clean" composition with not too many bright colours, just enough to make the photo very eye-catching.

De straat scene is heel mooi met de versierde hekwerk voor de deur.
Misschien moeten we dit hier later ook doen, met de diefstallen steeds opnieuw in de gemeente.
Maar een goede uitval basis is, de A11 waar ze zo opkunnen.
Maar uw hoofd foto is eveneens mooi, en de spelers hebben niet eens in de gaten dat ze gefotografeerd worden.
Heel sherp en mooi, bedankt.

J'aime beaucoup cette scθne de la vie quotidienne bien calme ΰ cet endroit. Tu as su profiter d'un beau mur jaune en arriθre plan en plus de la belle forme de la chaise de l'homme au centre.

If there was a contest for most colorful city I'm sure Granada would be in the running to win. :-) Great daily life scene. I like that the man on the left is sitting in that large rocking chair. I thought they might be playing dominoes, but I see that it's actually checkers. The WS photos are great, too.

Ah, dit is het soort tafereeltje waar ik ook niet aan zou kunnen weerstaan. Beetje jammer van die man in de deuropening, alhoewel...ook daar ben ik niet zo zeker van, eigenlijk. Wat alleszins wel top is zonder discussie is de contrasterende stijl van de stoelen. En toch zijn ze allebei op hun eigen manier typisch voor de locatie!

those are some pretty cool WS photos, especially the purple one with the flower pot the same color as the exterior walls of the home. Certainly has that Cuba feel, but in much better conditions. this home looks to be very well cared for. I like that rocking chair, thats one funky chair :) a fine trio of shots here. cheers

Hello dear Paul,
Citadel, Castle, Fortress, and Kale/ Kalesi all mean pretty much the same thing in Turkey. There is only 1 castle in Ulus, Ankara.
A superb daily life scene from Granada in Nicaragua. I am not a big fan of rocking chairs as they seem intent on catching my toes and ankles in the dark as I walk by. Every time! Good color and sharpness and the 2 men seem intent on the game they find a pleasant change from everyday life and work. Tfs!

charming street scene. I wish I had some time to sit down and relax.
I suppose I write comments on TE so it is one of my favourite ways to relax :)
I like very much the well saturated colors here and even the pavement is so well taken care of.
The players seem so deep in their thoughts.
