Photographer's Note
I stayed for quite a few weeks at the Finca Ixobel in Guatemala. They had 3 spider monkeys there that were eventually going to be released into the wild and one of them, Cheetah, was always looking for a way out of the cage. One morning I woke up and she was in the hammock, looking down at me. I held out my arms and she came over and went to sleep with me for about another hour. I woke up to find her michievous fingers digging through my bag. Later that day I was down at the pond with some other travelers and she came along, keeping her distance until everyone else had left. Then she came over and spent another hour just sitting with me. It was one of those moments where you just have to think, "If I was at home I'd be behind a desk right now, instead I'm sitting by a pond with a spider monkey in my lap." Anyway, she posed for a bunch of photos, this one being my favorite just because of the regal look on her face.

Hi Scott, actually I find the expression quite funny. Also, the fur is so fluffy that one of branches seems to come out of the right ear! Thanks for sharing.

When I saw the thumbnail of this I thought it was a junior Big Foot & I couldn't resist having a closer look. The expression on his face is classic... it looks for all the world like you've caught some mysterious, elusive beast on camera & this has appeared in a magazine of Strange Sightings. Lol. It should be marked humorous!

Very expressive indeed Scott.
It looks like a human to me. And your note definitely says you had a fascinating time.
Great experience indeed. TFS - Vikram
