Photographer's Note
La Fortuna Waterfall is 70 meters high waterfall in Arenal Volcano National Park. To get down to the base of the fall visitors must pass a path of approximately 530 steps in tropical wet forest.
I took this one with a phone camera because my compact Cannon G5X broke down and on the bigger Canon 7D I only had a tele lens. On good light the phone camera takes decent pictures. But inside cloudy rain forest it was a bit iffy.

Hello Kari, the white water of the falls stands out against the green vegetation, it looks like a ribbon! It is a high waterfall at 70 metres high.
You achieved a very good high viewpoint to enable you to get this shot.
Did you use the 530 steps?

Looking at the picture I can imagine the warm moist air.
Beautiful how the water emerges from the opening between the trees.
Do the clouds always hang so low against the treetops?

Amazing sight how the waterfall "emerging" from within the thick forest on the giant rocks.
A white "silky thread" in contrast to the green.
A cell-phone picture that has fairly good outcome despite the mist and low light condition.

A beautiful view of the elegant water among the dense forest with many dark green tones, which also emerges from the low-hanging clouds. The waterfall was well placed in the middle of the composition.

Hello Kari, So you had also problems with the camera, like me. Fortunately, there is a possibility to use phones. I had similar views in Bali, but the colours of the jungle were more vivid. Nice composition.

I liked the view with the narrow falls in evidence surrounded by the forest. curious as its trail goes at side, not in front, as would be more usual.
