North Eastern coast of Costa Rica is mainly flat. But there is one lookout point roughly 120 m above the sea level. This view to South shows forest of Tortuguero National Park and narrow spit separating the river and Caribbean Sea.

Hello Kari,
A beautiful land- and seascape in a bright sunlight. I really like how the composition is divided between green and blue, especially with the two narrower strips in the centre.

Hello Kari,
It's a great view of the jungle and the sea. That long and narrow spit creates a scenery with a difference. It's very attractive and the colours are so well saturated.

Hi Kari,
what an uncommon situation: a river separated from the open sea by a very narrow spit of land.
And human settlements do not seem to play a big role here.

Hello Kari,
In the mostly flat landscape you went looking for a suitable higher point of view.
Magnificent overview of the tropical forest near the sea.
I believe it's a river that we see here but perhaps it are backwaters close to the coast.
