On the shores of river Yorkin in southern Caribeean Costa Rica, members of the Bribri tribe started a fair-trade ecotourism initiative. The aim: provide a livelyhood for families without having the men die at thirty-three from long-term exposure to pesticides in the industrial plantations of the area.
